May Principal's Message

As we step into the month of May, there’s a tangible energy in the air. The longer days and warmer weather bring with them a renewed sense of excitement and purpose as we approach the final chapters of the school year. May is a month full of tradition, celebration, and milestones, and we’re thrilled to share it with our school community.
One of the highlights of the year is our upcoming Graduation Ceremony on May 30. This moment marks a major achievement for our Grade 12 students, and we couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and resilience they’ve shown. We look forward to celebrating their success with families, staff, and peers during the formal ceremony in our gymnasium.
Equally exciting is our Musical Revue, which brings together students from across the grades to showcase their talent, creativity, and teamwork. The dedication these students have shown—alongside the countless hours of rehearsal and preparation—is truly inspiring. With performances running from May 21–24, I encourage all families to attend and support our students’ incredible work on stage.
We also want to wish our Grade 6 and Grade 9 students the very best as they begin their Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) this month. Grade 6 ELAL Part A will be written on May 28, followed by Grade 9 ELA Part A on May 29. These assessments provide important insight into student progress, and we know our students will approach them with focus and confidence.
In the spirit of competition and camaraderie, May marks the return of Track & Field events across all divisions. These meets allow students to challenge themselves, cheer on their classmates, and demonstrate their athletic abilities in a supportive environment. We’re proud of all our student-athletes and look forward to cheering them on throughout the month.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. As we move into this final stretch of the year, let’s take time to celebrate the learning, growth, and community spirit that make Stirling School such a special place.
