March Principal’s Message

As we step into another busy month, we find ourselves with new opportunities and exciting possibilities. It’s a time when Winter transitions into Spring, we hope, and the spirit of renewal and rejuvenation fills the air. March symbolizes not only the changing of seasons but also a period of growth, both academically and personally.

I extend my gratitude to our exceptional wrestling committee for their outstanding leadership in organizing one of the most remarkable Rural provincial events, as affirmed by the head official. This achievement results from the collective efforts and dedication of numerous volunteers who generously contributed their time and hard work. Thank you to all who helped in any way to contribute to the successful event.

I am thrilled to announce that both our boys' and girls' teams, under the guidance of our community coaches, emerged victorious, securing the 1A/2A Rural Provincial Banner. Join us in celebrating their achievements as we honour them and offer our best wishes as they prepare for the provincials in Edmonton.

Our assembly to recognize their accomplishments will take place on March 6th at 1:17 PM in the gymnasium. Additionally, we will also acknowledge all basketball teams during this gathering, extending our good luck wishes to our high school teams as they embark on their South Zone journey.

Report cards for K-9 will be emailed on March 7th.  The report cards for grades 10-12 will be emailed on April 19th. Elementary’s Demonstration of Learning will be on March 21 from 3:30-6:00 will be for K-5 students and parents, and our parent-teacher conferences will be at the same time for grades 6-12.  A link will be sent out in a couple of weeks. Please sign up, and come and see your child’s excitement as they share what they are learning.

If you have not done so, we ask that you please pay your resource fees ASAP or make arrangements at the school office. We accept cash, debit, or e-transfers for all fees. You may use the following email address for all e-transfers:  ssfees@westwind.ab.ca. Thank you!

Hot lunch order forms will be available online at stirlingschool.ca, and/or there will be a few available at the school office.

Parent-Council meeting will be held on March 28 at 12:45 pm in the school staff room.
