Stirling School, along with Westwind School Division would like to express appreciation to the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta for their generous donation to Stirling School.
Promoting literacy is a priority at Stirling School, and with the funds from a grant given by the Community Foundation, staff members within the Stirling School have been able to create and develop classroom libraries, providing reading material for readers of varying interests, allowing students to cultivate positive relationships with literature. Literacy goals set by the Stirling School include having each student be able to speak about a book that has affected them personally and meaningfully throughout the school year. With the establishment of these classroom libraries, Stirling School has come significantly closer to meeting this goal.
We would once again like to thank the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta for providing Stirling School with the opportunity to foster positive relationships between students and literature.
